Dalee's & Co. 7oz 1920s Loopwheeled ‘Mirror Swallow’ T-Shirt - Natural

From the archives of early 20th-century design, Dalee’s & Co., a sister brand of Deluxeware, introduces the “Mirror Swallow” T-shirt - a piece that reflects both East and West. The back print reimagines an oriental motif that once traveled from Japan to America in the 1910s, capturing the fascination with symmetry, flight, and renewal. Two stylized swallows face each other like mirrored emblems, a poetic echo of a world in transition, balancing ornament and restraint.

The body is crafted from a custom 7oz tubular loopwheel jersey, slowly knit in Wakayama on old machines that draw air into the fabric for natural stretch and resilience. Its slub yarns are singed with a gas burner, burning away excess fuzz to create a clean hand, refined texture, and durability that prevents pilling. The result is a dry touch and subtle surface depth, true to vintage workwear traditions.

Each shirt is sewn at the brand’s own factory on vintage Union Special machines, giving every seam a time-worn authenticity. With its antique-inspired graphic and uncompromising Japanese craftsmanship, the “Mirror Swallow” T-shirt carries the spirit of a century-old design into the present - a garment that feels both timeless and alive.
