Founded in 1981 as part of Domingo Co., one of Japan’s oldest denim makers, Spellbound has carried forward more than four decades of expertise in fabric and wash development. Rooted in Kojima, Okayama—the birthplace of Japanese denim—the brand merges post-war sewing traditions with modern fits and finishes.

From the beginning, Spellbound set itself apart with a unique focus on washes and textures. While many pursued rigid, unbroken denim, Spellbound pioneered over a hundred techniques to create jeans that felt lived-in yet refined.
