Stevenson Overall Co.

Stevenson Overall & Co.

Stevenson Overall Co. was revived following a fateful meeting between American vintage collector Zip Stevenson and Japanese designer Atsusuke Tagaya. United by a shared passion for early American workwear, denim, and leather goods, the two relaunched the brand in 2005 with a clear objective: to preserve historic construction techniques while refining them for contemporary wear.
Originally based in Indiana during the 1920s and 1930s, Stevenson Overall Co. built its identity on meticulous craftsmanship. Central to this approach is the use of flat-felled seams and single-needle stitching, methods common before mass production became the norm. Though rarely used today due to their labor-intensive nature, these techniques ensure structural integrity, durability, and a distinctive hand-built character that defines each garment.
Drawing inspiration from vintage clothing, fabrics, and graphic art, Stevenson Overall Co. does not simply reproduce the past. Instead, the brand reinterprets forgotten designs through modern proportions and carefully developed materials, creating garments that feel both historically grounded and relevant today. The result is a collection that balances authenticity with progression, timeless in spirit and universal in appeal.
