The history of UES began in 1967, when it started manufacturing baby clothing. Since 2014, UES has been based in Osaka and has consistently pursued its mission: to produce clothing that can be worn until the end without being replaced unnecessarily. The products are made using traditional methods and knitting machines that have long since been discontinued. The sewing work is also purely mechanical, not computer-controlled, in order to design every detail with care and craftsmanship. UES denim is made from hand-picked, defoliation-free cotton. Over time, the wearer's daily life becomes visible through tears, discoloration and creases in the garments, giving them an authentic and individual patina.
