Brown's Beach

Originally established in 1901 in Worcester, Massachusetts, Brown’s Beach Jacket earned its place in American outerwear history with garments designed for fishermen, hunters, railroad men, and even Arctic explorers. Its signature “Beach Cloth” was an innovation of its time: a two-ply knit blend of wool and cotton (Russell Knitting), lined with fleece for warmth, weather resistance, and comfort.

The jacket’s salt-and-pepper texture, snap-button front, and distinctive silhouette became a staple for those facing harsh winters. Endorsed by legendary names like the American naval officers, and polar explorers Admiral Richard E. Byrd and Commander D.B. MacMillan, the design became a trusted companion from New England to the South Pole.

Since 2007, Fullcount has carefully studied and revived the brand. In 2010, they acquired the official license and have been faithfully weaving the original fabric to exact specifications, producing each garment in Japan with care and precision.

Brown’s Beach Jacket remains a symbol of quiet resilience, blending functional history with modern craftsmanship - ready for decades of wear.
