Iron Heart

Established in 2003 by Shinichi Haraki, Iron Heart is the result of more than two decades of hands-on experience in the Japanese denim industry. Haraki’s background as a pattern maker, designer, and production manager shaped the brand’s uncompromising approach to materials, construction, and function. Iron Heart was created with a clear goal: to develop garments that perform under real stress, built without compromise and independent of seasonal trends.

At the core of the brand is its focus on heavyweight selvedge denim, typically ranging from 21oz to 25oz. These fabrics are developed in close cooperation with small, family-run mills in Japan and woven on traditional shuttle looms to achieve exceptional density, strength, and texture. Despite their weight, Iron Heart denims are engineered for daily wear, combining durability with controlled shrinkage and consistent sizing.

Originally designed for the Japanese motorcycling community, Iron Heart’s jeans and shirts were built to withstand abrasion, wind, and long hours in the saddle. Over time, the brand’s ultra-heavy flannel shirts, reinforced stitching, and robust hardware became just as iconic as its denim. Today, Iron Heart is globally respected among denim enthusiasts who value technical fabrics, precise construction, and garments that develop character through long-term wear rather than artificial aging.
