Iron Heart 4.8oz Nylon Type L-2B Flight Jacket – Navy / IHM-50

Stripped down, refined, and purpose-built — the L-2B was introduced in the early 1950s as a lighter alternative to bulky flight jackets, giving US Air Force pilots the freedom to move without restriction. The Iron Heart IHM-50 takes that original idea and sharpens it into a modern, highly functional piece designed for real-world use, including life on and off the bike.

The outer shell is made from 4.8oz tightly woven nylon twill, offering a smooth, almost liquid surface with impressive resistance to abrasion. A non-fluorine resin treatment adds reliable water repellency without compromising the fabric’s natural hand. Inside, a nylon taffeta lining with anti-static properties minimizes cling and friction, making layering effortless and comfortable in motion.

Every detail serves a purpose: a two-way YKK zipper for flexibility, an internal placket for wind protection, and heavy-duty internal gun pockets with copper snap closures. The ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem create structure while maintaining a clean silhouette.
