The Flat Head ‘South Dakota’ Longsleeve brings one of the Japanese brand’s popular motorcycle-inspired graphics to its premium heavyweight T-shirt collection. Drawing inspiration from American biker culture and long-distance motorcycle events, the design features a small orange dreamcatcher print on the chest and a striking back graphic combining vintage lettering, feathers, and a traditional headdress motif. Against the deep black fabric, the warm orange print creates a distinctive look rooted in classic Americana.

Made from premium Japanese hanging-knit cotton, the fabric is knitted at an exceptionally slow pace of approximately 10 meters per day. This traditional low-tension process allows the yarn to retain its natural softness, producing a substantial yet remarkably comfortable jersey. Crafted from combed 20-count two-ply cotton yarn, the fabric combines a dense, smooth surface with a gentle sheen and the durability expected from Flat Head’s signature heavyweight T-shirts.

Construction follows the brand’s exacting standards. The reinforced “one-off-three-needle” neckline, sewn with three strands of cotton thread, is designed to resist stretching and maintain its shape over years of wear. Special two-needle stitching at the armholes and side seams helps protect the sewing threads from abrasion, adding durability without compromising comfort.

Unlike conventional surface prints, the dye-based discharge and penetrating print techniques allow the artwork to become part of the fabric rather than forming a heavy layer on top. As the cotton softens and ages, the graphics develop a naturally worn-in appearance without the cracking associated with thicker prints.
