The Flat Head FN-D111C 14.5oz ‘Real Aging’ Selvedge Jeans – Vintage Wash / Wide Straight

Built around a high-rise, wide straight silhouette, The Flat Head’s FN-D111C combines the brand’s signature denim construction with an exceptionally convincing Real Aging treatment. The result is a jean that looks and feels like a pair that has already been worn hard for years.

The foundation is The Flat Head’s original 14.5oz left-hand twill selvedge denim, woven in Japan on vintage shuttle looms from long-staple Zimbabwe cotton. Known for its soft hand, strength, and distinctive vertical character, this denim is particularly famous for developing The Flat Head’s characteristic “Doshaburi” or raindrop-style fades.

For the FN-D111C, skilled craftsmen recreate years of natural wear by hand. Bleaching, overdyeing, abrasion, and individual fading techniques reproduce the effects of sunlight, friction, creasing, and repeated washing. The pale, slightly grayish indigo, pronounced vertical streaking, whiskers, and contrasting areas around seams and pockets give each pair the character of genuinely well-worn denim.

The wide straight fit features a deep rise, generous room through the thigh, and a clean, wide leg down to the hem. Original iron buttons, copper rivets, hidden iron rivets, raised belt loops, a selvedge coin pocket, and a cowhide leather patch complete the classic Flat Head construction.

And just like its raw denim counterpart, it comes with The Flat Head’s unmistakable red cotton bandana flasher.
