Taion Military Crew Neck Down Jacket – Dark Navy

Named after the Japanese word for body temperature, Taion specializes in lightweight insulation designed to deliver warmth without unnecessary bulk. The Military Crew Neck Down Jacket is part of the brand’s Military Line, combining traditional military-inspired construction with a versatile, understated design. Its collarless silhouette, distinctive onion quilting, and metal snap buttons give the jacket a classic utilitarian character.

The outer shell is made from durable 5mm square ripstop polyester, a lightweight fabric reinforced with a grid structure to improve resistance to tearing. Inside, premium 800 fill-power down provides excellent insulation without excessive weight. Compared with conventional down around 600FP, the higher loft traps more insulating air for its weight, allowing the jacket to remain warm, lightweight, and comfortably packable. The contrasting lining and cotton herringbone binding add further character to its military-inspired construction.

Practical details include Taion-engraved YKK metal snap buttons along the front and snap-button side slits, which improve freedom of movement and provide easier access to trouser pockets when layering. Two generously sized patch pockets offer everyday utility, while fabric loops at the cuffs reference traditional military jacket liners, reinforcing the design’s heritage influences.

Designed with unisex sizing, the jacket works equally well as a lightweight outer layer or an insulating mid-layer beneath coats and jackets. A compact storage bag makes it particularly convenient for travel.
