The Strike Gold are the undisputed kings of Slubbiness. Tohru and Yoshiko Hamamoto are the masterminds behind this mystical brand from Kojima, Okayama. The lovely couple is so passionate and particular about their denim, that they try to stretch all imaginable denim boundaries with every fabric they create.
The SG7104 is made from a substantial 17oz Super Slubby Selvedge denim. A super low tension weave constructed of even slower spun pure indigo warp and natural weft yarns. Creating this unsurpassed slubby selvedge fabric is extremely time and cost intensive. Just to give you an impression: one shuttle loom can only weave 40 meters of this fabric in 24 hours and to produce one pair of Jeans you need approx. 2,7 meters of denim – you do the math.
The SG7104 features a relaxed tapered silhouette with a medium high rise, roomy thigh and a narrow leg opening.
