Strike Gold SG5102 15oz Slub Selvedge Jeans – Loose Straight

The Strike Gold are the undisputed kings of slubbiness. The SG5102 is crafted from Strike Gold’s signature 15oz Original Right-Hand Twill Slub Selvedge Denim, woven at low tension using pure indigo-dyed warp yarns and irregular grey weft yarns. This combination creates a remarkably uneven, textured surface with a deep, almost inky indigo appearance. Producing this fabric is exceptionally time-consuming: a traditional shuttle loom can weave only around 40 meters in 24 hours.

What makes this denim particularly special is its aging potential. The irregular yarns and pronounced slub texture encourage distinctive vertical fading and fine, grid-like wear patterns, gradually revealing the character of the grey weft beneath the indigo. Combined with Strike Gold’s meticulous attention to stitching, seam construction, and fabric tension, the result is a pair of jeans designed to develop exceptional depth and individuality over time.

The SG5102 Loose Straight fit offers a more relaxed alternative to the classic SG5103. With a comfortable rise, generous room through the seat and thighs, and a wider leg that tapers only gently toward the hem, it delivers a fuller, more relaxed silhouette without losing its classic proportions.
