Cut from 17oz extra slub selvedge denim, the Samurai S3000XX ‘Murasame’ jeans feature a dramatic texture woven in a traditional 6x5 weave. The fabric draws inspiration from postwar Japanese denim production, when early selvedge jeans combined imported cotton with local dyeing expertise - laying the foundation for today's legendary craftsmanship. The blackish indigo tone is achieved through a complex rope-dye process using pure indigo and tonal dyes, allowing for deep contrast and expressive fading over time.

Inspired by sudden summer storms, the shifting character of the denim mirrors the impermanence of all things.
