Inspired by the durable maekake aprons traditionally worn by Japanese sake merchants and workshop laborers, the Maekake Dobby showcases Naked and Famous' passion for fabric-driven design. Woven in Japan from a textured 12.2oz dobby fabric, it recreates the dense, hard-wearing character of those historic aprons while offering a softer feel thanks to a gentle rinse treatment.

Unlike conventional denim, the dobby construction creates a richly textured surface with remarkable depth and layered indigo tones that shift naturally in changing light. The rinse enhances comfort from the very first wear while allowing the fabric to develop refined tonal variation as it ages, revealing character through years of use rather than dramatic contrast.

Cut in the Weird Guy fit, these jeans feature a medium high rise, a comfortable top block with room through the thigh, and a clean taper from the knee to the hem. Finished with tin hardware, a button fly, and a Horween Cavalier Ink Blue Chromexcel leather patch, every detail complements the fabric's understated character.
