Iron Heart 14oz Selvedge Denim ‘1955’ Vintage Tapered Jeans – Regular Tapered / IH-1955S-142

Inspired by the 1955 501, the IH-1955S-142 brings a classic mid-century jeans silhouette into Iron Heart’s uncompromising world of Japanese denim. The 1955 Vintage Tapered cut features a medium-to-high rise, generous room through the top block and thighs, a fuller knee, and a gentle taper toward the hem. Compared with Iron Heart’s 888, the silhouette is more traditional and slightly less tapered.

The jeans are made from Iron Heart’s 14oz Japanese selvedge denim, woven from 100% cotton with an indigo rope-dyed warp and double-twisted white weft. The right-hand twill starts dark and crisp but is designed to fade naturally with wear, gradually developing the individual contrast and character expected from Iron Heart denim.

Vintage-inspired details include a four-button fly, hidden rear-pocket rivets, selvedge detailing at the outseam, fly and coin pocket, and a vegetable-tanned steerhide patch. Sanforized and one-washed to eliminate virtually all shrinkage, the jeans are designed by Shinichi Haraki and handmade by WORKS INC. in Japan.
