The Deluxeware SDTS-2601 "I Love Speed" captures the rebellious spirit of vintage American hot rod culture through a distinctly Japanese lens. Printed on a faded salmon-pink body, the design combines classic speed-shop graphics with traditional tattoo imagery. The chest print plays on the familiar "I Love" motif, while the large back graphic features a coiled rattlesnake wrapped around crossed velocity stacks, a symbol long associated with horsepower, speed, and mechanical performance.
Behind the artwork lies one of Deluxeware's most respected foundations: the SDTS series. Made from a substantial 10.5oz Loopwheeled Jersey XX Soft Knit, the fabric is produced on vintage loopwheel knitting machines in Wakayama, Japan. These machines create only around ten meters of fabric per day, resulting in a texture, density, and softness that modern production cannot replicate.
Finished with durable construction using vintage 1960s Union Special triple-needle machines in Akita Prefecture, the shirt offers the rare combination of being thick, durable, and exceptionally comfortable. With every wear, the fabric gradually molds to the wearer while maintaining its structure, making it a piece built to age beautifully over time.
