Deluxeware 946A 11oz Painter Denim Mil-Spec Chino – Indigo

The 946A is Deluxeware’s interpretation of the perfect military chino — not a strict reproduction, but a thoughtful fusion of vintage military trousers from different eras. Every detail, from the silhouette to the construction, reflects the brand’s pursuit of what it calls “Legit Quality”: combining historical authenticity with improved materials and modern durability.

For this version, the 946A is cut from an exceptional 11oz painter denim woven in Ibara, Okayama on old shuttle looms. Inspired by 1950s workwear denim, the fabric pairs a dark indigo rope-dyed warp with a natural-colored weft, creating a deep yet slightly muted tone with a distinctly vintage character. Compared to standard denim, the fabric feels drier and more structured, developing nuanced fades and texture through wear while remaining comfortable year-round.

The trousers are sewn in Deluxeware’s own factory in Odate, Akita using vintage Union Special machinery. Combined with military-spec construction details, button fly closure, and a clean regular straight silhouette, the 946A becomes something rare: a pant that feels historically grounded while remaining entirely original.
