Dalee's & Co. 7oz 1920s Loopwheeled ‘Bamboo Tiger’ T-Shirt - Natural

From the spirit of “Oriental Antique” design, Dalee’s & Co., the sister brand of Deluxeware, presents the “Bamboo Tiger” T-shirt - a piece rooted in a century-old Japanese motif. The print, created in the 1910s and carried across the ocean to America, shows a tiger moving through bamboo. In Asian art the pairing is symbolic: the tiger stands for courage and protection, the bamboo for purity and resilience. The body is crafted from a 7oz tubular loopwheel jersey, slowly knit on old-fashioned machines in Wakayama. Its slub yarns are singed with a gas burner, removing excess fuzz for a cleaner hand, refined surface, and durability that prevents pilling. The result is a dry touch with subtle depth, true to vintage workwear traditions.

Each shirt is finished at the brand’s own factory on vintage Union Special machines, ensuring every seam carries historic character. With its antique-inspired tiger-and-bamboo print and uncompromising Japanese craftsmanship, the “Bamboo Tiger” T-shirt unites the artistry of the past with the endurance of timeless style.
