Recognized as the ultimate field jacket, the M-65 is an improved and updated model of the previous M-43 and M-51. In the early 1960s, the U.S. Army decided to renew its field wear and the development of the M-65 was groundbreaking in terms of design and quality even until today.
Its fundamental construction follows conventional models but there are improvements in functionality: The outer shell is made from a water-repellent heavy cotton back satin in the iconic OG-107 colorway and its lightweight cotton-nylon blend lining comes in aggressor green. The jacket features four large pleated pockets including snap button fastening. Both drawstring at the waist and hem as well as an adjustable Velcro tape at the cuffs improve the fit and enhance the jackets insulation. A hood is concealed in the circular collar and the double pleated back make the jacket not only comfy but allows superior freedom of movement.
Often copied but never bettered, the M-65 is not only a menswear icon and wardrobe essential but one of the most versatile jackets on the market, that can be easily worn all season long.
