MotivMfg Pleat Herringbone Denim Trousers prove how technical fabric development and precise pattern making can completely redefine a classic trouser. Cut with a high rise, close through the hips and opening into a long, generous leg, the silhouette creates strong vertical lines with an elegant workwear attitude. Four front pleats add structure, comfort, and shape, while the clean design moves easily between tailored and casual styling.

The fabric is MotivMfg’s own Original Herringbone Denim, developed with specialist narrow loom weavers in China and woven on a restored 1950s dobby loom. Its tactile herringbone surface feels richer and more dimensional than standard denim. Originally unsanforized, the fabric has been given a rinsed finish to remove further shrinkage while preserving character. Signature details include a one-piece folded fly, trapezoid belt loops, cast alloy buttons, and subtle selvedge construction.

Made entirely in-house by MotivMfg’s small Beijing team, this trouser reflects the brand’s philosophy of recreating historical garments for modern wear. A rare balance of craftsmanship, fit, and fabric innovation.
