Long before the work shirt became an American menswear staple, shirts like this were simply built for work. Inspired by American farmer and work shirts of the 1920s, Fullcount’s Lot 4091L brings back details from an early era of workwear, when chambray-style shirts were defined by straightforward construction, practical proportions, and hard-wearing fabrics.
What makes this Limited Edition particularly special is the fabric: a deadstock cotton-linen twill made from 70% cotton and 30% linen. Crisp, lightweight, and breathable, the black fabric has a beautifully dry, slightly irregular character that will soften and develop with wear. Because Fullcount is working with an existing stock of vintage fabric, production is strictly limited and the fabric cannot simply be reproduced once it is gone.
Period-inspired details include the compact chest pockets, chin strap, and slightly squared collar, while Fullcount has shortened the traditional body length for a more balanced, easy-to-wear contemporary fit. Finished with tonal black buttons and one-washed for immediate comfort.
A rare piece of early American workwear history, recreated in Japan from a fabric with no second run.
