The No.8 Slub Nep T-Shirt from UES is defined by texture, durability, and the kind of character only low-tension vintage knitting can produce. Made from 9.5oz extra-thick cotton yarn, the fabric is roughly twice the weight of UES’ standard tees, resulting in a substantial handfeel and long-lasting structure.
The unique slub–nep pattern comes from UES’ proprietary yarn blend: 30% Australian cotton, 10% nep cotton, and 60% recycled cotton. This composition creates natural irregularities — flecks, bumps, and subtle color shifts — that are intentional and represent UES’ commitment to traditional craftsmanship. Woven at low tension, the fabric feels soft, breathable, and incredibly tactile, with a depth of character that becomes more pronounced with wear.
A reinforced collar prevents stretching over time, while the minimalist cut makes this tee a versatile everyday staple. Washed once in Japan to eliminate shrinkage, it delivers a dependable fit and an unmistakably Japanese-made quality.
