Sugar Cane’s modified 'Type II Model' of the iconic 1947 jeans is a standout piece of Japanese denim craftsmanship. Inspired by the original 501XX introduced in 1947—a model that even LVC has never reproduced with the same level of authenticity—the 2009 version retains all the signature details, from the authentic denim color to the faithful pocket shape.
As a contemporary interpretation of the Sugar Cane 1947 classic, the Type 2 model features a slightly slimmer fit, a lower waist, and a subtle taper from below the knee.
