Munqa APOLLO Kicks Badge - 925 Sterling Silver

Munqa is the Native American term for the "Large Field" of the Hopi people. The brand was established in 2010 by the Japanese designer Muu under the principles of Art and Peace. His "NEWTIVE: New + Native" jewelry concept blends Native American craftsmanship with contemporary pop and subculture designs.

All jewelry is completely handmade, one piece at a time, by skilled Japanese artisans using traditional Native American crafting techniques. Munqa does not use any casting methods, so each item is slightly different in appearance and shape. Similar to vintage Native American jewelry, the artisans melt the silver to create sheet metal. Subsequently, all shapes are hand-cut using custom-made stamps. All intricate details and fine lines are hand-carved using traditional muscle carving techniques. Depending on the complexity and size of the item, the process from start to finish might take up to 2 hours.
