Buzz Rickson’s Type M-65 Liner Jacket – Olive

Originally designed as a cold-weather liner for the U.S. Army’s M-65 Field Jacket, the Buzz Rickson’s Type M-65 Liner Jacket has evolved into a fully independent piece. What was once a hidden layer beneath the parka now stands on its own — lightweight, exceptionally warm, and unmistakably utilitarian. The quilted pattern follows the original wave-stitch design developed in the 1960s to keep insulation evenly distributed while reducing bulk and increasing mobility.

Made from a durable nylon outer shell with a polyester pile filling, the jacket achieves an ideal balance of warmth and weight. Reinforced cotton binding at the edges and cuffs prevents fraying, while the CONMATIC brass zipper and liner attachment tabs at cuffs, so as neck attachment buttonholes underscore, the garment’s authentic military construction. Two large front patch pockets and an interior pocket provide practical storage.

Buzz Rickson’s refined this liner with a zip-front closure and stand-alone silhouette, making it equally suited as a light outer layer or as insulation beneath heavier jackets. A functional essential for transitional seasons, offering warmth, comfort, and timeless field-inspired style.
