Samurai Jeans S3100VX 17oz ‘Zero+’ WWII Model Selvedge Jeans - Wide Straight

The S3100VX is Samurai’s faithful take on a World War II-era jean, reimagined with their signature 17oz Zero+ denim. This new model offers a high rise and wide straight leg, with a slightly deeper inseam and a broader top block for comfort and authenticity.

The fabric itself is what sets this model apart. Samurai’s Zero Denim (17oz Bushido), first introduced in 2004, was already legendary for its slubby, low-tension character. The updated Zero+ denim refines that formula, woven from Texas cotton on vintage shuttle looms at reduced tension, rope-dyed in 100% pure indigo. The result is a deeper, darker tone with the same irregular texture - unsanforized but one-washed for immediate wearability. Over time, the denim softens and evolves, revealing striking fades unique to the wearer.

True to Samurai tradition, details abound. The iron “Sentoku” buttons are inspired by Japanese tea ceremony metalwork, developing a lustrous patina as they age. Pocket bags are crafted from 8oz slub denim, tougher than standard cloth. Copper rivets, a goatskin leather patch depicting Musashi and Kojiro at Mount Fuji, and red selvedge ID round out the design. Hidden rivets, raised belt loops, and heavy constructional threads ensure these jeans are built for the long haul.
