Inspired by the U.S. Army Type II combat boots, the John Lofgren Combat Boots bring a distinctive chapter of American military footwear history into the present. Faithfully preserving the original design's characteristic toe caps with decorative broguing, they combine the rugged functionality of vintage military boots with the precision and refinement of traditional Japanese shoemaking.

Crafted from Horween Chromexcel leather, the boots feature a rich, oil-infused surface that develops exceptional depth and character over time. Available in Black and Timber Brown, the leather gradually softens and develops a distinctive patina, with natural creases and tonal variations reflecting years of wear. The substantial six-inch shaft, carefully shaped heel counter, and beautifully executed stitching give the boots their unmistakable vintage military character.

Construction is uncompromising. Goodyear welted using American-made storm welts, the boots feature Vibram 700 cork outsoles and 7335 cork heels, providing durability and dependable everyday traction without the bulk of a traditional lug sole. Japanese steel shanks offer structural support, while single, double, triple, and even quadruple stitching reinforce the carefully assembled leather uppers.

Every pair is entirely made in Japan, with the uppers sewn by the same master craftsman who has worked with John Lofgren Bootmaker since the beginning. Built on the John Lofgren 120 last with a generous E-width fit, these boots represent a thoughtful balance of military heritage, exceptional materials, and enduring craftsmanship.
