Freenote 8oz ‘Calico‘ Corduroy Western Shirt – Gold

Built from the language of classic American Western wear, the Freenote Cloth Calico takes the familiar sawtooth shirt and gives it a cleaner, distinctly modern identity. Instead of the traditional multi-point pocket flap, Freenote reduces the shape to a single curved point, echoed by the sweeping front yoke above it. The result retains unmistakable Western character without feeling like a reproduction.

The fabric gives this version its personality. A substantial 8oz 13-wale corduroy from Japan combines pronounced vertical texture with the soft, warm hand that makes corduroy such a natural choice for cooler weather. In Gold, the rich brown tone and changing direction of the wale across the yokes, pockets, and body emphasize the shirt's construction and give the surface additional depth.

Freenote finishes the Calico with the details that set its shirting apart: Japanese pearl snaps, precise 1/8" double-needle stitching, and a custom horn collar button carrying the brand's Southwestern-inspired motif. Rinsed for a comfortable feel from the start, it balances Japanese fabric craftsmanship with traditional American construction.
