Ampal Creative ‘Don't Think Twice’ Snapback Cap – Brown / Corduroy

At first glance, the Ampal Creative Don't Think Twice Snapback looks like a classic vintage patch cap, but the story runs much deeper. The artwork combines several layers of American pop culture: a mid-century cartoon-inspired character riding a rocket, a nod to Stanley Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove, and the title of Bob Dylan’s iconic 1963 song Don't Think Twice, It's All Right.

Ampal founder Amos Oren created the design as a tribute to his late friend “Wiley,” an adventurous surfer whose approach to life inspired the cap’s message. While traveling in Indonesia, Wiley once rode a rental moped for around 17 hours across Lombok, surfboard strapped to the side, just to reach firing waves at Desert Point. Sometimes the seemingly worst ideas turn out to be the best ones.

This version pairs the artwork with a 100% cotton 16-wale corduroy upper in warm brown and a cotton herringbone twill front-panel lining. The vintage-style felt patch and Ampal’s signature unstructured, crushable construction give it the relaxed character of an old-school baseball cap with a deeper profile.

Made in Los Angeles, California, it is finished with a premium chino twill sweatband with sweat barrier and an adjustable snapback closure.
