The Deluxeware Heavy Loopwheeled Full-Zip Hoodie is built from an ultra-dense 20oz hanging fleece, knitted slowly in Wakayama on traditional tsuri-ami machines. These old gravity-fed machines operate at extremely low speed, allowing the cotton to settle naturally without internal tension. The result is a loopwheeled fabric (side seams) with a dry, structured hand, exceptional heat retention, and a brushed interior that traps warmth without feeling spongy or loose.

Unlike standard production hoodies, this model is manufactured in Deluxeware’s own „Old Duct“ factory in Odate, Akita. The hem pattern and extended placket dimensions are uniquely engineered, with craftsmen deliberately stretching the pattern to compensate for shrinkage during construction. Certain stress areas are sewn twice using original 1950s UNION SPECIAL flat seamers, creating strength without unnecessary bulk. Every detail is intentional, from the heavy ribbing to the custom zipper hardware.

The full-zip format makes it practical. The fabric makes it serious.

This is the kind of hoodie that feels almost overbuilt at first — and exactly right for the next twenty seasons.
