The TSPTR Dirty Beach T-Shirt pays homage to the first manned mission to the moon in 1968.

Flight Control asked the crew, “What does the 'old Moon' look like from 60 miles away?” “Like a dirty beach with lots of footprints in it,” replied Bill Anders, the NASA photographer of the Apollo 8 moon mission.

NASA had begun collaborating with Charles Schulz in the mid-1960s after asking Schulz to create strips of Snoopy on the Moon in an effort to inspire public excitement about America’s space program. As the ‘World Famous Astronaut’, Snoopy explored the moon before a human stepped foot on it.
