Chup socks are not just any ordinary socks - each pair is a piece of art. They feature rich, colorful patterns from cultural backgrounds all over the world and have been slowly knitted on vintage knitting machines. This level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is evident in the fact that each knitting machine can only produce 20 pairs per day. Made from combed cotton yarn, Chup socks are incredibly soft and strong, as the cotton fibers are treated before being spun into yarn, ensuring there are no impurities or short protruding threads.
These ankle socks feature a traditional Navajo Indian knitting pattern, with the main motif being their house of tent design. The pattern is intricately designed and captures the essence of Navajo culture. The name "NUPURI" means "mountain" in Ainu, which reflects the inspiration for the design.
