It's not a mere reproduction, and the design incorporates elements of a dress shirt. The small chin strap protruding from the collar band sets this short-sleeved shirt apart, giving it a pre-war military jacket style. The shirt features a yoke similar to what you would find in a western shirt, with buttons made from natural materials like white pearl oysters and brown lip oysters.
