The DASPO Charlie Brown T-Shirt pays homage to Francis Ford Coppola's film 'Apocalypse Now' and is part of the seasonal TSPTR 'Heart of Darkness' collection.
Originally, Coppola had the idea of casting a main character in Apocalypse Now as a DASPO officer to narrate the film's story. During the Vietnam War, the special operations teams of the Department of the Army Special Photographic Office (DASPO) captured some of the most unique and poignant images of the conflict. Based in Fort Shafter, Hawaii, the Pacific detachment of DASPO, also known as "Team Charlie," was the most active of the divisions due to its coverage of combat operations in Vietnam.
All TSPTR t-shirts are ethically made from certified, high-quality organic cotton fabric. The print uses water-based ink exclusively.
