Instead of being used immediately after unpacking, the cotton is allowed to \u003cb\u003emature for 30 to 50 days\u003c\/b\u003e in a carefully controlled environment, regaining the fluffy texture it possessed immediately after harvest.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIn \u003cb\u003eWakayama\u003c\/b\u003e, the yarns are then knitted on vintage \u003cb\u003eloopwheel machines\u003c\/b\u003e using a highly demanding inlay construction. While conventional loopwheel machines produce around one metre of fabric per hour, this intricate technique yields less than half that amount. The result is an exceptionally soft, almost moisture-rich fabric with impressive density, reduced stretch and a uniquely comfortable feel.
