Buzz Rickson’s faithful reproduction of a Tropical Fatigue Jungle Jacket featuring a soldier’s narration of a classic Ed Ross design. During Vietnam War era the US Army introduced these so-called Jungle Jackets as part of its Tropical Combat Uniform. Made from a quick-drying, lightweight but durable 5,5oz cotton poplin fabric, the first iteration from 1963 adopted the angled pockets from 1940s Airborne Field Jackets. Its minimalistic yet functional design turned this jacket into a menswear icon. Buzz Rickson’s upgraded this Tropical Combat Jacket with a custom embroidery originally hand-painted by a soldier of the 1st Marine Division (The Old Breed).
